The BNCC organization have its own motto: KNOWLEDGE, DISCIPLINE & UNITY.
Knowledge is defined variously as :
1. Expertise, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
2. What is known in a particular field or in total; facts and information?
3. Awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation. Philosophical debates in general start with Plato's formulation of knowledge as “justified true belief".
Not only for the cadets even as a man has knowledge had acquisition involved complex cognitive processes: perception, learning, communication, association and reasoning. The term knowledge is also used to mean the confident understanding of a subject with the ability to use it for a specific purpose if appropriate. So knowledge is the utmost reflection of the motto of Bangladesh National Cadet Corps(BNCC).
Man lives in society. So he must obey some laws to keep order and maintain peace. Discipline consists in the obeying of this law. Its necessary from the beginning of a man’s life. A Cadet must be taught to rise early, to attend his lessons regularly to bath properly and to his meals at the right time. He must also be taught to do all things properly. So that he may be good and useful disciplined member of the society. Cadets should have discipline in nature, in the family, in the institutions, in social affairs, in administration, even in the playground. A cadet must obey the Rules, Regulations and all the directives of the organization strictly. No cadet should question to orders of seniors.
Unity is defined variously as:
The unities of place, time and action gives an in word force to complete any work smoothly.
Unity gives the teachings of "do" or "die" together. At the same time it implies the feelings of the uniform personnel (as like Cadets) to follow the all norms and internal relation at the same way.
There are three types of Cadets in BNCC and divided under two broad heads namely, Senior Division and Junior Division cadets. Senior division again has two categories of female and male cadets of various levels of education.
